*Sound waves make the invisible visible!
This exhibit is about the nature of sound and vibrations. Sound is emitted into the material to produce, wave patterns making the invisible sound visible! The materials jumping patterns are greatest where the disturbance in the air is most intense and shows at resonant frequencies. These are formed by the sound waves reflecting and then combining with the new waves within the tube.
